Practical Solutions for New Beginnings
Group Counselling/Mindfulness Based Groups
Groups can be a warm, supportive, lower-cost alternative to individual counselling.
I facilitate evidence-based Mindfulness groups designed to help people living with depression, anxiety, and stress, and seeking to improve resilience and well-being. Mindfulness-based groups are different then how you might imagine a therapy group. The focus is on learning from your own experience, and there’s no need to share or disclose personal information to benefit fully from the experience.
I offer group facilitation services through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, and you can contact them directly for more information. Groups are lower-cost and pay-what-you-can bursary registrations are also available. I personally facilitate the well-known groups:
Wellspring offers a variety of free programming for people living with cancer and their families and loved ones. I work with Wellspring as a program leader and as a supporting partner in delivering a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Cancer program.
