My Education and Training
I hold a Master of Counselling Degree (Athabasca University), a Master of Applied Science Degree in Engineering (University of Toronto), and Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering (University of Toronto). In addition to my university education, I hold the following certificates:
I am a qualified mentor and professional development teacher with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, and a teacher/instructor for George Brown Continuing Education. I offer corporate workshops in mindfulness for purposes of stress management.
I bring with me more than two decades of experience coaching individuals, teams, and projects as an engineer, technology executive and independent consultant. I held senior leadership roles in my corporate career and built a successful independent consulting and executive coaching practice. Today, I continue this work as a tutor with GetSmarter Oxford University Women's Leadership Development Program, a global online program developing the next generation of women leaders.
In addition to my private practice, I have hospital and health care counselling experience working in palliative care and with stroke survivors and their families. My work designing a therapeutic group for a Toronto hospital, A Solution Focused Group for Caregivers of Stroke Survivors, was published in the academic Journal of Systemic Therapies. I am a program leader with Wellspring, providing mindfulness programs and counselling for cancer survivors.
I believe strongly in volunteering and giving back. Currently, I sit on the Private Practice Advisory Council with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and provide volunteer support to the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto.
